Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 2026

QDRO Works ("we," "us") prepares retirement-division court orders based on information you provide. Because that work involves sensitive personal information, we keep this policy short, specific, and honest.

1. What we collect

Information you give us: names and contact details for you and the other party; details about the retirement plan, your case, and the division terms; documents you choose to upload (such as a decree or settlement agreement); and messages you send us.

Sensitive identifiers (SSNs and dates of birth): collected only through a separate, secure channel after you submit the questionnaire — never through the main intake form, email, or chat. They are used solely to complete the order and the plan's required addendum, shared only with the plan administrator and the court as required, and retained no longer than needed for your order.

Payment information: processed by our payment provider (e.g., Stripe). We never see or store your full card number.

Automatically: basic usage data (pages visited, browser type) through our hosting provider's standard logs and, if enabled, privacy-respecting analytics. We do not sell this data or use it for advertising.

2. How we use it

Only to (a) prepare, revise, and support your order; (b) communicate with you about it; (c) process payment; (d) meet legal obligations; and (e) improve the service in aggregate. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their marketing.

3. Who we share it with

The plan administrator and recordkeeper (as needed to pre-approve and qualify your order); the court (through documents you file); our service providers (hosting, payment, email) under confidentiality obligations; and authorities where the law requires it. That's the whole list.

4. How we protect it

Encryption in transit for all site traffic; sensitive identifiers segregated from the main intake; access limited to the people preparing your order; and deletion of sensitive identifiers after your order is complete, except where retention is legally required.

5. Your choices

You may request a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it (subject to records we must keep for completed orders). Email info@qdroworks.com and we'll respond within 30 days. Residents of states with specific privacy statutes (e.g., California, Texas, Colorado, Virginia) may have additional rights under those laws.

6. Cookies

The site uses only cookies and local storage necessary to make it work — for example, saving your intake progress on your own device. We don't use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

7. Children

The service is for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18, except information about children that you provide as part of a child-support order.

8. Changes & contact

If we change this policy, we'll update the date above and, for material changes, note it on the site. Questions: info@qdroworks.com.
